Maie Smith of the Delta Blues Museum in Clarksdale, MS talked about all the famous (and infamous) blues musicians from Clarksdale and the Delta, including Howlin’ Wolf, Son House, Muddy Waters, Charley Patton, W.C. Handy and Ike Turner. She has been with the museum for 27 years and told fascinating stories of meeting many of these musicians and hearing their stories. She also promoted the two festivals that Clarksdale holds year spring and fall – the Juke Joint Festival and the Annual Blues and Gospel Festival for the Sunflower River Blues Association.
